Assess, advise on, and drive resolution of disputes, mediations, arbitrations, and litigation, overseeing outside counsel when they are brought in to assist.
Provide leadership and strategic, legal and compliance advice to Region leadership, Operations, Sales/ Commercial, Finance and specific Business Lines teams in three Power businesses to help drive business' objectives on contractual and regulatory (such as NERC CIPS) risk.
Structure, negotiate, and close complex commercial transactions for the sale of equipment, controls systems, and related services for GE Vernova’s hydrogen and natural gas-fueled gas turbines and aero-derivative turbine, hydro turbine, and steam turbine equipment.
Lead projects and initiatives and become a recognized subject matter expert on Power’s commercial offerings.
Work with the business teams to develop processes and Best Practices for new business and commercial models and offerings.
Meet and negotiate with customers, their business and legal teams, and outside counsel.
Assess and advise on U.S. local, municipal, state, federal and Canadian regulations.
Collaborate with legal colleagues in the Americas and worldwide.

Experience with construction, EPC, and equipment services contracts.
A superior work history which affirmatively demonstrates leadership.
Able to work independently and leverage the support of others in a fast-paced, matrixed business environment.
Capability to think clearly and quickly under pressure, distilling complex issues into simple, actionable recommendations.
Established analytical ability.
Strong oral and written communication skills, with experience in advising senior leadership; skilled influencer.
Experience in the Energy industry.
At least 10 years practicing transactional and commercial law and/or business litigation.
Member in good standing with a U.S. State Bar.
Juris Doctorate from a U.S. accredited law school.
Composure to satisfy multiple and often competing interests.
