• Ensure smooth and thorough handover to the construction delivery teams.
• Develop project execution plans, tender strategies, and bid submissions for large-scale data centres and industrial builds.
• Support client engagement and presentation activities throughout the preconstruction phase.
• Provide detailed M&E technical input, value engineering solutions, and buildability advice.
• Oversee design development, ensuring alignment with project requirements, client expectations, and industry best practice.
• Prepare and analyse M&E cost plans, budgets, and tender submissions.
• Lead the M&E preconstruction function on major projects across Ireland.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, including design partners, supply chain, consultants, and internal stakeholders.
• Manage risk identification, programme development, and early procurement strategies.

Requirements

We are seeking an experienced Preconstruction Manager with a Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) specialism to lead the front-end delivery of high-value, technically complex projects across Ireland. This is a key strategic role within our preconstruction team, focused on major developments including data centres, industrial facilities, advanced manufacturing plants, and other mission-critical environments.

You will take ownership of the preconstruction lifecycle—from early engagement and tender strategy through to design coordination, technical review, cost planning, and the seamless handover to construction teams. This position is ideal for a commercially astute M&E leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is motivated by delivering exceptional technical solutions.

• Comfortable leading multidisciplinary teams and coordinating with senior stakeholders.
• Strong background in mechanical and electrical systems for major projects—data centres experience highly desirable.
• Ability to work across multiple projects and drive high-quality outcomes within deadlines.
• Strong communication, presentation, and leadership skills.
• Strong commercial awareness and understanding of procurement routes, cost planning, and risk management.
• Proven experience as a Preconstruction Manager, Bid Manager, Technical Services Manager, or Senior M&E Engineer working on large-scale MEP packages.
• Excellent technical knowledge and ability to interpret complex design documentation.
