The Construction Superintendent leads onsite teams and supervises construction projects from start to finish. Responsibilities include coordinating schedules, forecasting resources, planning construction phases, ensuring safety and code compliance, managing subcontractors, maintaining daily logs, and providing value‑engineering solutions to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
The role is primarily field‑based, requiring work on active construction sites in varying weather conditions. Employees must prepare for site‑specific hazards such as noise, extreme temperatures, moving equipment, and exposure to chemicals, while adhering to Roers’ rigorous safety standards. Occasionally, the Superintendent will attend corporate meetings and events.
- Coordinate project schedules and sequencing with internal and external teams
- Forecast manpower, equipment, and material needs while respecting budget limits
- Plan and schedule onsite construction phases to meet deadlines
- Evaluate progress and prepare detailed reports for stakeholders
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, building codes, and regulations
- Use scheduling software to update and track project progression
- Direct subcontractors, perform quality control and safety checks
- Adjust operations as needed to meet construction deadlines
- Maintain daily site logs and report to management
- Provide value‑engineering options for efficiency and cost savings
- Foster relationships with city officials, owners, trades, and suppliers
- Support early site preparation for leasing and marketing teams

Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project, Bluebeam, and Procore, as well as the ability to read and interpret all construction drawings, is essential.
- Minimum 5 years of onsite supervision in multifamily residential new construction
- BS in Construction Management or related field (or high school diploma/GED with 5‑10 years experience)
- Knowledge of building codes and ADA regulations
- Experience with precast, wood framing, MEP trades, and interior finishes
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project, Bluebeam, and Procore
- Ability to read and interpret architectural, structural, civil, and MEP drawings
- Strong organization, forecasting, and multi‑tasking skills
