The 2nd and 3rd year Apprentice Electrician is responsible for installing and terminating conduit, cable, equipment, panels, sensors, and various control components, as well as constructing and fabricating control panels and wiring systems. The role includes performing wiring check‑outs, testing equipment, and ensuring compliance with NEC, NESC, NFPA, and UFC standards.
Apprentices must be registered electricians in Alberta and enrolled in a recognized trade school, capable of working under journeyman supervision, independently, and as part of a team. Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle pressure are essential.
