The Senior Project Engineer is responsible for the mechanical, electrical, and plumbing work of a building under construction, with a solid understanding of how these systems impact the overall construction process.
The engineer will actively engage in the initial design development of MEP services, assess constructability, and review legal and statutory compliance to secure timely approvals. They will coordinate with all service design disciplines, ensure contractors submit shop drawings for approval, and implement approval conditions on site in a timely, sequential manner.
The role includes executing service work according to drawings, specifications, schedule, and quality standards, while adding value through vendor and local material selection in line with the procurement process. The engineer will be responsible for installation, testing, and commissioning of electrical, HVAC, plumbing, and firefighting equipment, and will manage handovers by securing manuals, test certificates, and as‑built drawings.
They will also initiate training for takeover teams through contractors and consultants to ensure a smooth transition.
Candidates should hold a B.E./B.Tech in Electrical or Mechanical engineering with 10+ years of experience on building projects, possess technical awareness of civil, electromechanical, and architectural works, and demonstrate strong organizational, motivational, detail‑orientation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
