Provide leadership and mentoring to young professionals
Frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms.
Serves as subject matter expert for the construction process and building science.
Review material testing reports.
Perform and document the initial and final punch lists.
Provides project completion projections and planning to ensure the successful execution of the CA Process.
Review and answer RFI’s and evaluate submittals.
Review/critique Contractor’s project schedules and schedule of values.
Serves as client liaison and manages the project to complete it on schedule, within budget, and with maximum client satisfaction.
Provide quality assurance reviews on construction documents prepared by others.
Lead job site reviews and provide construction field reports.
Manage pre-construction meetings.
Coordinate architectural/interior staff as well as project consultants regarding drawing/ specification changes during the Bid and Construction Phases.
Evaluate Change Orders and provide back-up for adjustments.
Responsible for coordination of project efforts, administrative and technical, to ensure the most efficient and cost-effective execution of assigned projects.
Provides mentorship for the less experienced architectural staff.
Attend construction meetings and OAC meetings and provide input.
Provide technical guidance to less experienced architects/architectural staff.
Issue ASI’s or PR’s as needed.
Review pay requests for accuracy.
Lead the Bid Phase effort including managing pre-bid meetings, review of substitution requests, answering Contractor inquiries and issuing addendum.
Coordinates project efforts to ensure effective execution of the CA process.
Provide technical expertise on construction details and mentor staff.
Coordinate close out process including as-builts.

Excellent communication skills and ability to manage all aspects of projects, clients and key staff.

Possess the skills to be the face of Hoefer Welker on the job site and represent the company with the highest integrity.
Occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
During the project’s construction phase, provides strong and calm project leadership and displays the ability to resolve project issues.
Understanding of and experience in different building typologies, systems and delivery methodologies.
Regularly required to talk and hear .
Ability to demonstrate effective conflict resolution skills, excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to confidently and decisively take action.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision; distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
