The senior Civil & Structural Engineer role will lead and grow the Transmission & Distribution (T&D) capability in the UK. It combines technical leadership, design management, training, and client‑facing commercial support, offering the chance to influence strategy and lead landmark power infrastructure projects.
Key duties include managing the design of substations, overhead line foundations, and cable routes while ensuring compliance with UK standards, Eurocodes, National Grid/DNO specifications, and CDM regulations. The role also involves reviewing and mentoring junior designs, overseeing risk management and value engineering, leading training programmes, and representing the business at client, bid, and marketing meetings.
Applicants must hold a BEng or MEng in Civil or Structural Engineering and be Chartered (CEng MICE/MIStructE) with over 10 years of relevant experience. Proven experience with National Grid and DNOs, strong knowledge of UK design standards and CDM regulations, client‑facing communication skills, leadership and mentoring ability, and a full UK driving licence are essential.
