Tasks

-Learns and implements new welding procedures, systems, and techniques. -Operates overhead cranes. -Performs all welding-related duties, including grinding, housekeeping, shaping component parts, as wellas cleaning and checking for defects. -Adheres to workplace safety policies, regulations, and compliance. -Completes all assigned data tracking and related forms.

What You Bring

The Welder Journeyman is responsible for performing advanced welding tasks using welding techniques to fabricate, assemble, and repair metal structures and components for industrial, construction, and manufacturing projects. This role requires proficiency in multiple welding methods, blueprint reading, and a commitment to maintaining equipment and ensuring high-quality and safe work. -Able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing with strong attention to detail. -Education associate's degree or a combination of education and/or related work experience. -Physically capable of lifting 50 pounds, standing/walking for extended periods, climbing, balancing, bending, stooping, kneeling, and working in various weather conditions. -Proficient in gas, metal, steel, and arc welding (GMAW) with solid wire and metal core process welding -Follows work procedures and/or visual standard operating procedures. -Must be a registered Alberta apprentice, Alberta Certified Journeyperson, or have an Interprovincial Red Seal Endorsement. -Experience in metal core and aluminum welding is an asset. -Minimum of 3 years of related experience required. -Demonstrates continuous effort to improve operations, decrease turnaround times, streamline work processes, and work cooperatively and jointly to provide quality seamless customer service.
