Garage Door Technician

Description

• Perform service and repair work (springs, cables, rollers, tracks, openers, etc.)
• Install residential and light commercial garage doors and openers
• Participate in cross-training opportunities in insulation, gutter, and shelving divisions as needed
• Follow company safety procedures and job site standards
• Safely remove and replace existing garage doors and components
• Load, unload, and transport doors, parts, and tools
• Complete job documentation as required
• Communicate professionally with customers and team members

Requirements

• Electrical or mechanical troubleshooting skills
• Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team
• General knowledge of hand and power tools
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• Ability to lift 50–75 lbs and perform physical labor
• Strong work ethic; punctual and dependable
• Basic understanding of garage door systems (or willingness to learn)
• Construction, mechanical, or trade experience
• Comfortable working on ladders and at heights
• Prior garage door installation or service experience
