What you would be doing

  • Working with the Offshore Project Management Office, and wider CFO functions (Group Regulation, Business Planning for example)
  • Assist with project cost reporting for funding requirements
  • Undertake regular forecasts of project spend out to project completion
  • Support the formal CRU Gateway Process for development of the project, including external assurance of costs
  • Coordinate and review of timesheets, purchase orders, invoices.
  • Liaise with our partners on all reporting
  • Management of requests for any cost increases/deviations
  • Dealing with financial/project queries
  • Support the engagement with DCEE, including the Capex approval process
  • Manage costs via oversight of purchase orders and invoices
  • Support CRU monthly reporting
  • Assist with compliance of governance within the Project and EirGrid structures
  • Ensuring key project controls are in place and operational
  • Understand and report monthly on cost performance v budget (liaising with the Finance Business Partner)
  • Build relationship with Project Directors, Project Team, internal and external auditors

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving ability
  • Proactive approach to work
  • Proven ability to manage critical processes against tight deadlines
  • Minimum 5 years proven experience
  • Excellent working knowledge of Excel
  • Understanding of and input into the development of the key external contracts (with EPC contractors, key vendors)
  • Ability to identify issues arising and work with senior management towards resolutions
  • Degree or equivalent business qualification is required
  • Excellent interpersonal skills – building strong relationships with key parties
