The EV Construction Manager is responsible for executing EV charging construction projects safely, on schedule, and to standard. This role leads construction delivery for MasTec’s national EV charging initiatives, supporting multi‑site, multi‑state programs with strong field leadership and consistency. The position requires extensive travel (approximately 90%).
- Lead construction execution of EV charging projects across multiple regions and states
- Manage daily field operations, including crew coordination, subcontractors, and vendors
- Ensure consistent construction standards across all EV sites
- Oversee site readiness, mobilization, construction, commissioning support, and closeout
- Coordinate closely with Project Managers, Engineering, Safety, and Operations teams
- Ensure adherence to design drawings, specifications, and scope of work
- Track production, labor, materials, and installation progress
- Identify constructability issues early and drive field‑level solutions
- Maintain jobsite safety compliance with company, customer, and OSHA standards
- Participate in project planning, sequencing, and scheduling with PMs
- Support permitting, inspections, AHJ coordination, and utility interfaces
- Provide accurate field reporting on schedule, risks, manpower, and productivity
- Capture lessons learned and continuously improve construction execution
- Support scaling EV construction from one‑off builds to repeatable national programs
- Assist with onboarding and training of field crews and subcontractors for EV work
- Participate in client site walks, issue resolution, and milestone inspections

The ideal candidate is a field‑first construction leader with a proven record delivering electrical, civil, or infrastructure projects and an understanding of EV charging construction. They can manage multiple sites, interpret drawings, hold subcontractors accountable, and thrive in fast‑paced, high‑volume environments. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel, is required, and OSHA 10/30 certification is preferred.
- Proven record delivering electrical, civil, or infrastructure construction projects
- Experience with EV charging construction (trenching, foundations, conduit, switchgear, chargers, commissioning)
- Ability to manage multiple sites simultaneously
- Skilled at reading and interpreting construction drawings and specifications
- Strong subcontractor management and accountability
- Organized, detail‑oriented, and solution‑driven in fast‑paced environments
- Effective communication with crews, leadership, and customers
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
- OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification (preferred)
- Willingness to travel regionally or nationally as required
