  • Develop an understanding and be aware of project-related risk and be familiar with Terracon’s risk management policies.
  • Oversee the implementation of environmental assessments.
  • Proactively engage with clients, Account Managers, and Senior Project Managers to define project scope, schedule, and budget.
  • Conduct client development activities and work with our marketing team to continue and develop environmental services in Corpus Christi, South Texas, and across the Texas Division.
  • Design, communicate, and implement a project plan for completing the project.
  • Coordinate with Senior Staff to ensure appropriate oversight is in place and sufficient time allowed for reviews of all critical junctures.
  • Work safely in accordance with Terracon’s Rules to Live By and our Incident and Injury Free (IIF) culture. Lead safety efforts for team and ensure team follows safety rules and guidelines. Responsible for creating and modeling a safe work environment, demonstrates safety practices, and promotes pre-task planning for all projects.
  • Engage in the market by actively participating in local professional groups, societies, and/or committees in coordination with our client development staff
  • Conduct meetings and prepare reports to communicate the status of the project.
  • Partner with other departments or offices to secure specialized resources for the project.
  • Identify, develop, and gather the resources to complete the project. This may include developing project schedules, budgets, and forecasts; and selecting materials, equipment, project staff, and external contractors.
  • Manage projects in accordance with Terracon’s Project Quality Manual.
  • Coordinate with accounting for financial management of business intelligence, invoicing, and collections.
  • Set priorities, assign tasks, and coordinates project staff to meet project targets and milestones.

  • Good communication skills and the ability to meet with clients and articulate project findings and present recommendations.
  • Willingness to learn and market the other service lines that Terracon offers such as Geotechnical, Materials Testing and Facilities Consulting.
  • Understanding of regulations regarding WOTUS.
  • Five or more years of experience in the performance of Phase I and/or Phase II Environmental Site Assessments, NEPA document writing, Asbestos assessments, or Mold assessments.
  • Working knowledge of RCRA, TRRP, and PST regulations in Texas.
  • Valid driver’s license with acceptable violation history.
  • Minimum of 5+ years of related experience.
  • Experience in obtaining a variety of USACE Nationwide Permits.
  • Two or more years of project management experience.
  • Documented success with APARs and closures under TCEQ programs such as the PST, TRRP, and VCP.
  • Possess strong writing skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Geology, Engineering, or similar scientific degree.
  • 40-hour HAZWOPER certification.
  • Professional Geologist (P.G.) or Professional Engineer (P.E.) license in the state of Texas, or the ability to obtain within 12 months of onboarding.
