Senior Water Treatment Engineer

Description

• Learn and be a promoter of Stantec’s project delivery structure that includes Project Manager and Project Technical Leads.
• Become engaged in active project delivery as a clientfacing Project Leader in the Municipal Water and utilities markets in the Southwest United States.
• Support Stantec’s reputation for innovation and research through participation in Utah conferences, professional associations, and academic partnerships.
• Over time, be a key leader in the development of a strong network that connects and integrates our teams in Salt Lake City, Denver, Las Vegas, Phoenix, and Albuquerque.
• Mentor young professionals in the Salt Lake City office, and across the region.
• Work closely with leadership to identify strategic client relationships to be developed, fostered and/or maintained in Utah and greater Southwest markets.

Requirements

• Understand client expectations, budgeting, proposal writing, and producing high quality deliverables.
• Education: Minimum Bachelor’s degree in a scientific, engineering, or related technical discipline.
• Experience: Minimum 10 years’ relevant professional experience, with at least 5 years of experience managing and/or coordinating water treatment projects.
• Licenses/Certifications: Licensed Professional Engineer in the State of Utah or ability to achieve within one year of hire is preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Experienced in organizing, planning, and executing water treatment process designs from pursuit through closeout, involving internal personnel, subconsultants, and vendors.
• Technical expertise in relevant areas of water treatment process design.
• Efficient technical leadership of assigned tasks on multiple concurrent projects.
