Description

Cadrex is hiring a Turret Set Up I to prepare Turret machines and processes for production. The role may include assigning personnel, acting as lead in the absence of supervisors, and ensuring smooth operation of the department.

The employee will install, adjust, and align tooling and equipment, analyze machine and process issues, and implement engineering changes as documented in the corporate quality program. They will monitor processes, recommend productivity improvements, and guarantee that all necessary materials and packaging are available and meet quality standards.

Quality assurance duties include performing inspections to receive job approval, conducting periodic checks, and training operators on proper inspection techniques. The role also involves maintaining equipment, keeping work areas orderly, and providing instruction on setup, operation, documentation, and corrective actions.

• Perform set‑up duties to prepare Turret machines and processes for production.
• Install, adjust, change, and align tooling and equipment.
• Analyze machine or process problems from schedules and instructions and determine solutions.
• Facilitate engineering changes to products and processes per the corporate quality program.
• Monitor processes and recommend improvements to increase productivity and assure quality.
• Ensure required materials and packaging are available and meet quality standards throughout production.
• Execute inspection methods to obtain job approval and conduct periodic quality checks.
• Train operators on proper product inspection techniques.
• Maintain equipment and keep work areas clean and orderly.
• Instruct operators on machine setup, operation, quality standards, and documentation.
• Report and prevent equipment malfunctions, material discrepancies, and documentation errors; initiate corrective actions.
• Plan production flow to ensure smooth transition to the next scheduled job.
• Complete all paperwork and documentation accurately and timely.
• Train new employees and provide work instructions in the absence of lead or supervisor.
• Read and interpret blueprints and technical documents.
• Use measuring tools, computers, hand tools, and machines with minimal supervision.

Requirements

Candidates should have a high school diploma, preferably with prior assembly or set‑up experience. Required skills include reading blueprints, using measuring tools and computers, operating hand tools and machines with minimal supervision, and demonstrating initiative, dependability, and teamwork in a fast‑paced environment.

The work environment includes exposure to moving mechanical parts, vibration, moderate to loud noise, and occasional electrical hazards. Physical demands involve standing, sitting, handling tools, lifting up to 25 lb, and using a range of visual abilities.
