What you would be doing

- Ensure that our M&E and Commissioning engineers’ skills are suitably matched to work scope and project type
- Provide technical line management including performance management for site-based M&E and Commissioning Engineers across your region
- Ensure that M&E and Commissioning delivery elements of projects are undertaken in compliance with UU, WIMES and JNB Standards.
- Support H&S Initiatives and drive daily improvement in H&S performance
- Help to integrate the design, construction and commissioning of plant and equipment within the Water sector by bringing other people’s mechanical, electrical and/or process skills to practical benefit
- Provide a “first point of contact” for Operations and Contracts Managers for all M&E and Commissioning delivery aspects on the schemes within your region
- Help deliver strategic procurement through appropriate selection of sub-contractors into projects and ongoing relationship building and performance management

- HNC / Degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Process Engineering or equivalent work-based learning experience
- A valid driving licence and willingness to travel to sites across your operational region
- Understanding of M&E and Commissioning engineering principles and practices within a Civil engineering environment
- Excellent organisation and problem-solving skills
- Ability to communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders
