Must be able to pass a background check, drug test and physical capacity test.
Able to frequently bend, stoop, kneel, and crouch
Able to walk, climb, and maintain balance on equipment, stairs, ladders, uneven terrain, rails and ballast in a safe manner
Requires occasional use of 30lb claw bar to remove spikes, requiring application of 50lbs of force
Able to perform physical strenuous work
Able to navigate into confined spaces if necessary
Able to lift and carry objects weighing up to 50lbs
Qualified candidates will be required to travel.
Requires occasional use of 10lb sledge hammer to drive spikes, requiring application of 75lbs of force
Previous railroad track construction preferred.
Ability to operate power tools.
Ability to communicate well with co-workers, customers, and supervisors.
