The Senior Electrical Engineer will lead the design, delivery, and integration of traction power and electrical systems for a wide range of rail and transit infrastructure, including light rail, subways, passenger rail, heavy rail, and high‑speed rail across Canada and internationally.
In this role you will grow Arcadis' portfolio by establishing strong client relationships, leading bids from conception through RFQ and RFP, and collaborating with clients, contractors, and regulators to exceed project requirements. You will provide overall technical leadership for traction power and distribution systems, define system architecture, direct integration strategies, and ensure alignment across subsystems and interfacing disciplines.
The position requires a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical or Power Systems Engineering, a Professional Engineer licence in Alberta and/or British Columbia (or eligibility), and at least 15 years of experience delivering large‑scale transit traction power projects. A deep understanding of codes and standards such as CENELEC EN 5012x, NFPA 130, the Canadian Electrical Code, CSA, and utility interconnection standards is essential.
