Prepare weekly site reports with photos of daily field activities, track construction progress and maintain a deficiency register.
Act as the Client representative in the field to inspect and verify Electrical utilities construction performed by Contractors.
Monitor environmental performance and report any violations/deviations from the Contractor’s Environmental Management Plan (EMP) or environmental regulations.
Monitor Contractor safety performance and report any deviations from Contractor’s H&S Plan or violations of OHSA regulations.
Review Contract documents and project specific plans and monitor Contractor compliance to these documents.
Verify construction is built as per IFC drawings and Client specifications, using approved materials only.
Verify construction activities comply with Contractor’s QA/QC plan and in accordance with the ITP.
Need the Qualified Contractor at the Hydro One site and escort to the work area. Remain on sit eto monitor the work.

Qualified as Protection and Control Technologist.
Self-accountable, with the ability to work independently and prioritize deliverables on time.
Excellent verbal, written communication, and presentation skills as well as proficiency with MS Office.
Extensive experience in Electrical Utilities protection and control Transmission and HV Stations.
Strong knowledge of Ontario Construction Regulations and ability to interpret Design drawings and Standards.
Must be able to work outdoors in all seasons of the year and flexible on working hours (nights/weekends).
Past Construction, Utilities, Site Supervision, and/or Inspection experience (minimum 10 years).
