The Staff Accountant reports to the Accounting Supervisor, Americas, ensuring the integrity of accounting information by recording, verifying, and entering transactions for the North American region. The role assists with day‑to‑day accounting functions, month‑end closings, and data analysis to keep the general ledger complete and accurate.
Core responsibilities include preparing and recording monthly journal entries, maintaining schedules for prepaid expenses, prepaid insurance, accrued property taxes, other assets and accrued liabilities, analyzing general‑ledger accounts for compliance, preparing account reconciliations with supporting documentation for the Americas Shared Service Center balance sheets, supporting internal and external audit requests, ensuring application of Global Accounting Policies, completing financial reporting surveys, and handling other assigned duties.
Required qualifications are a bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, 1‑3 years of accounting experience, strong organizational, analytical and problem‑solving abilities, proficiency with Microsoft Office (especially Excel), solid understanding of accounting concepts, high integrity, attention to detail, and strong verbal and written communication skills. Preferred qualifications include experience with integrated ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle, public accounting or manufacturing background, ability to manage multiple tasks, and exposure to Business Warehouse and Business Planning and Consolidation tools.
