To mentor and support other Cost Planners by providing guidance and advice
Standards: Ensure adherence to defined policies and processes, understand IPMS measurement guidelines, and represent the organization in meetings with consultants and stakeholders to maintain clear communication and alignment on cost-related matters
To act professionally, build trust with others and create strong partnerships and relationships
Business Units: Provide internal updates to your Business Unit on the status of construction costs and design metrics. Ensure representation during internal reviews to facilitate progress and successfully pass through Stage Gates
Cost Leadership: Drive collaboration within the Cost Planning Team to align efforts with Qiddiya's strategic goals while providing mentorship for professional growth, identifying and assessing potential risks with mitigation strategies, establishing key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure effectiveness
Cost Planning: Take a proactive approach to cost planning by ensuring budgets drive design decisions, preparing pre-concept cost advice before engaging cost consultants, optimizing the cost versus value equation for optimal financial outcomes, and identifying risks and opportunities early to minimize abortive design work
Cost Consultant Management: Manage the procurement and oversight of external cost consultants. Evaluate cost plans submitted by these consultants to ensure alignment with design objectives and budgetary constraints. Continuously assess design efficiencies throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring adherence to scope, guidelines, and established procedures
Market Awareness: Keep aware of all issues within the field of cost planning which could affect our business
Benchmarking: Leverage personal asset class benchmarking experience to effectively integrate design metrics with cost positions, ensuring assurance throughout all phases of the project lifecycle

Relevant tertiary qualifications. Degree in Quantity Surveying / Commercial Management or equivalent
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey cost strategies and insights to a diverse audience
Be completely adapted to change, adjusted rapidly and frequently to new situations, and assist others in adapting to change
Expert in benchmarking cost and design. Experience with costs/benchmarking in KSA or Middle East is preferable
High output orientation and drive
Considered decision making and influencing skills
15+ years Cost Planning Experience (Cost Planning, Quantity Surveying, Estimating)
Proven track record Leading teams in managing complex cost planning processes
Extensive expertise in CAPEX cost planning, procurement processes, and value management principles
Expert with industry standards eg NRM, CESSM, RIBA, POMI, etc. And all aspects of technical capabilities in Cost Planning
Exceptional overall awareness, with a comprehensive understanding of complex organizational issues and external factors
Worked in Local (GCC) Construction industry for 2 years or more (preferred)
Member of Royal Institution of chartered Surveyors (MRISC), Australian Institute of Quantity Surveyors (AIQS) or equivalent. (preferred)
Extensive Understanding: Highly knowledgeable about Cost Planning Software, including its design and strategic application. CostX is preferable
Exemplary leadership skills with a strong ability to inspire and influence others
Experience in working on large scale projects with Construction Value greater than: 500-1000m SAR
