The role supports electrical design engineering on multi‑disciplinary project teams, producing calculations, analyses, reports, and preparing design inputs such as site plans, power and lighting plans, one‑line diagrams, assembly drawings, conduit schedules, wiring diagrams, and elementary diagrams.
The engineer applies expertise to design and qualify structures, systems, and components, creates procurement and construction specifications, attends project meetings, conducts field walk‑downs, and mentors less‑experienced engineers.
The Government Services Division provides engineering design and consulting for DOE sites and national laboratories, supporting environmental management and nuclear security missions through multi‑disciplinary teams that design facilities and systems for nuclear waste treatment and material handling.
Candidates must be U.S. citizens eligible for government security clearance, hold a BSEE or MSEE from an ABET‑accredited program, and have 7+ years of progressive electrical engineering experience, preferably in a nuclear environment. Required knowledge includes low‑to‑medium voltage distribution, instrumentation wiring, NEC, UL508, IES Lighting Handbook, and ability to learn load‑flow, arc‑flash, and lighting analysis software.
Preferred qualifications include a Professional Engineer license, DOE, commercial or Navy experience, and field engineering or construction background.

The compensation range is $95,840 – $147,870, with a transparent total package that may include a discretionary annual bonus.
