The ideal candidate possesses deep knowledge of federal and state environmental regulations—including CERCLA, the Clean Air Act, Clean Water Act, RCRA, and related programs—and experience with emerging contaminants such as PFAS. They must be adept at collaborating with redevelopment planners, engineers, owners’ representatives, and contractors to integrate regulatory strategies into project plans. A strong commitment to helping clients meet compliance obligations while preserving operational flexibility, cost sensitivity, and high‑quality deliverables is essential. Proven ability to develop, nurture, and leverage internal and external relationships to grow business and mentor staff is required.
This role demands strategic thinking, effective collaboration, and business‑building skills. The consultant will manage projects to ensure timely, high‑quality deliverables, provide technical leadership on complex regulatory issues, and maintain strong relationships with regulatory agencies. They will also contribute to corporate strategy through communication with regional and senior management. Travel up to 30 % of the time may be required to support client needs.
