buildOn seeks an experienced and mission-driven Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead the financial strategy and operations of our dynamic, high-impact organization. The CFO will lead the U.S. and global finance team across eight countries, ensuring financial health, transparency, and sustainability. This leader will set the vision and direction for both short and long-term budgeting, forecasting, analysis, financial reporting and audits supporting buildOn's continued growth as a $35 million organization.

  • A proven track record of leadership, with the ability to both set strategic direction and execute hands-on financial management.
  • Proficiency in financial systems and technology; familiarity with Salesforce is a plus.
  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field; CPA or MBA degree highly preferred.
  • Experience managing complex financial operations across multiple countries.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to present financial data to diverse stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and International Accounting Standards (IAS) is a plus.
  • Strong budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning skills; nonprofit/fund accounting experience is a plus.
  • 10+ years of senior financial leadership experience, preferably in a nonprofit or international organization.
