Stores Assistant/Driver

Description

• Receiving goods and checking against orders inspecting for any damage.
• Ensure stock accuracy is maintained at all times.
• Checking and saving order acknowledgements received from suppliers, (ensuring delivery address, quantities and costs are correct to our PO) to the relevant PO.
• Oversee and monitor the receipt, order and dispatch of goods.
• Ordering of stock and distributing to Engineers and sites as required.
• Ensure the stock levels are maintained at the regional Stores locations.
• Dispatch of equipment in accordance with deadlines.
• Collecting returns from the Stores Network/Sites and ensure they are returned to Stores Head Office in a timely manner.
• Good receiving delivery notes received from Engineers and saving the document into the PO in the current software system.
• Chasing suppliers for outstanding deliveries not received, updating relevant engineering department and saving correspondence to order.
• Ensuring records are kept up to date on Simpro System (Previous knowledge would be helpful but training provided).
• Assisting and working towards group recycling management system.
• Effectively managing your workload and your time.
• Ensure the Stores are kept clean, tidy and compliant with health and safety requirements.
• Checking order updates received, advising relevant department of any delays to delivery dates availability etc and saving to the PO for future reference.
• Prepare and process purchase orders when required.

Requirements

• A full driving licence and a willingness to travel to locations across the country in a company van.
• Excellent timekeeping and time management skills.
• Willingness to go the extra mile.
• Good attention to detail.
• Experience with Simpro and Hilti is preferred but not required.
• The ability to work alone occasionally.
• Capable of lifting bulky items.
• Experience in Excel, Word and software systems.
