  • Performs schedule development duties to include establishing the work breakdown structure (WBS), determining the work activity duration, establishing the proper workflow logic ties across all phases, including Engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning.
  • Identifies and reports activities that have a critical or potential impact on the schedule.
  • Develop and manage comprehensive project schedules using Primavera P6, ensuring compliance with standards.
  • Implement best practices and lessons learned across the programme and actively seek opportunities for process improvements in planning and scheduling.
  • Implement and manage change control processes in the schedule to adjust Performance Measurement Baselines (PMB) for scope or schedule variations.
  • Integrate planning processes across different contracting stake holders to ensure consistency and alignment with the broader programme or portfolio.
  • Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, including Client, Alliance partners, and third-party stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with Project Managers and key stakeholders to define project scope, goals, and resource requirements.
  • Prepare detailed lookahead programs and communicate with the key stakeholders.
  • Assign and monitor resources (labour, equipment, and materials) in schedules, ensuring optimal utilization in line with cost code wise forecasts.
  • Develop and implement systems and tools to enhance planning and project controls capabilities across the team and wider department.
  • Provide detailed cost reports that highlight any discrepancies between actual costs and forecasted budgets, ensuring that project stakeholders are informed promptly.
  • Implement cost control systems and procedures to track all project expenditures, including direct costs (labour, materials, plant) and indirect costs (overheads, project management). Also account for contingency reserves and risk allowances.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the planning function and wider project delivery processes.
  • Perform regular updates and integrity checks on project schedules, ensuring alignment with Schedule Management Plan.
  • Generate financial dashboards and visual reports to present cost trends, highlighting cost savings, potential risks, and areas requiring attention.
  • Create and present accurate reports, including Schedule Narratives, Key Milestone Variance Reports, and Program Review Reports (PRR), tailored to project requirements.
  • Identify key dependencies and assess project risks to develop mitigation strategies.
  • Provide senior stakeholders (e.g., Project Managers, Programme Directors, and senior leadership) with regular reports on project performance, highlighting any areas of concern and recommending solutions.
  • Support project teams with cost-loaded schedules and conduct Earned Value Analysis (EVA) to track project performance.
  • Preparation and Submission of Monthly Progress Report, Change logs, S Curves and CPA Reports, Variance Reports, Trend Analysis reports, EVM dash Boards Etc.
  • Identify potential schedule risks and incorporate risk mitigation strategies, including quantitative risk analysis.
  • Establish effective communication channels with internal teams, sub-contractors, and external stakeholders (e.g., local authorities) to ensure the successful coordination and delivery of project milestones.
  • Lead, mentor, and manage a team of planning engineers to ensure they are providing accurate and timely scheduling support for multiple projects.
  • Prepare schedule management plan and ensure that planning engineers adhere to best practices.
  • Generate Power BI dashboards for progress visualization and stakeholder communication.
  • Provide guidance and training on planning processes, tools, and techniques to junior team members.
  • Oversee the professional development of team members and ensure they have the necessary resources to succeed.
  • Provide strategic input in meetings, addressing technical planning challenges.
  • Determines critical-path activities for assigned discipline or specialty work activities supporting interdisciplinary requirements.

  • Strong knowledge of NEC3/NEC4 & FIDIC contracts and their impact on scheduling and claims is a plus.
  • Experience in development and maintaining baseline programmes from contract document.
  • Proven track record to lead a team of professional planners and senior planners.
  • Proficiency in managing large-scale railway projects, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
  • Experience in Middle East & UK Transportation, Infrastructure, Electrical & Mechanical preferred.
  • Certified Estimating Professional, Certified Cost Professional, Project Management Professional or equivalent credential(s).
  • status or equivalent professional certifications (e.g., MAPM, Prince 2 practitioner, PMP) is added advantage.
  • Candidate must be conversant with Delay Analysis techniques.
  • Experience in identifying and Handling delays and preparing impact or time extension analysis reports.
  • Demonstrated ability to plan, organize, direct, perform, review, and present schedule products independently with minimal supervision. This includes using a high level of professional judgment and knowledge related to technical planning and scheduling skills and engineering design, construction, and procurement practice.
  • Prior planning/scheduling experience in EPC projects.
  • Knowledge of Power Plant engineering customarily acquired over time through specialized instruction or practical experience.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Knowledge of railway safety standards and regulations.
  • Manufacturing Processes: Basic Understanding of various manufacturing processes and industrial operations.
  • Expertise in Primavera P6/ MS Project, with a solid understanding of standard planning Manual & Quality guidelines.
  • A master’s degree in project management or equivalent is a plus.
  • Requires bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 12- 15 years of relevant experience bachelor’s degree in engineering, Project Management, or a related field.
  • Domain Skillsets either in Energy / Railways/ Industrial or Process Industry.
  • Proficiency in Power BI, Power Apps, and other relevant tools.
  • Advanced level of knowledge of engineering, procurement, contracts, construction in Energy Sector.
