Coordinates with and supports practice area Directors as needed.
Collaborates with architects, engineers, and project managers to integrate building science principles into the design process for various types of construction projects, such as residential, commercial, and institutional buildings.
Resolves issues that are presented by our clients in a timely and satisfactory manner.
Stays up-to-date with the latest advancements in building science, green building technologies, and code standards.
Provides guidance and oversight for large, complex, or long-term assignments.
Conducts annual written performance reviews on all direct reports.
Leads and oversees the design, analysis, and implementation of building sciences projects.
Assists district managers in conducting interviews and assessment of job candidates.

Physical Demands – Work is performed both in an office setting and at outside locations (i.e. industrial, construction and/or residential sites). The employee is frequently required to stand, walk on sloped and flat roofs, sit, climb ladders, bend, climb inside attics, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, talk, hear, and drive a motor vehicle to client sites or job sites. Working at heights, including accessing buildings by ladders, swing stages, and mechanical lifts will be necessary. The employee may lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Clear vision and depth perception are also necessary. The employee must be sharp, focused, and alert when conducting inspections, speaking, and interacting with clients, preparing drawings and written reports.

Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, with a focus on Building Science.
Minimum of 10+ years of related experience in a consulting engineering environment managing building science or structural restoration projects.
Understanding of building construction, including methods, materials, and systems is required.
A Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation may be required depending on local district requirements; will be considered an asset in all jurisdictions.
