Construction Inspector - NICET II or III

Description

• Ensure proper implementation of erosion and sediment control measures.
• Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and state agency representatives to resolve field issues and maintain schedule adherence.
• Review and verify contractor submittals and materials delivered to the site.
• Verify contractor compliance with safety regulations and environmental controls.
• Prepare daily inspection reports, quantity tracking, and photographic documentation of work performed.
• Conduct daily field inspections to ensure work is completed by project plans, specifications, and applicable standards
• Participate in progress meetings and provide input on field conditions and construction activities.

Requirements

• OSHA 30 certified.
• Strong knowledge of MTA specifications and standards.
• Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
• Proficiency in basic computer applications (e.g., Microsoft Office, construction management software).
• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to and within the project site as required.
• Experience with multi-scope infrastructure projects, including Tunnels, trailways, drainage systems, and pedestrian structures.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to generate clear, concise field reports.
• Minimum of 5 years of field inspection experience on site civil work, preferably involving DOT projects.
• NICET Level II or III certification.
