Maryland Environmental Service has an opening for a Lead Sorter at our Prince George's County MRF located in Capitol Heights, MD. This role serves as lead sorter on sorting lines at our materials recycling facility providing guidance, oversight, and training to MES and contractual employees. It ensures the successful sorting and segregation of recyclable items including aluminum, plastic, paper, cardboard, and steel, and provides feedback to supervisory personnel to ensure work conforms to product and facility specifications.
Minimum requirements are a high school diploma or GED and one year of experience in environmental services, waste management, or a related field. The position is open until filled and may be offered on‑spot as a contingent offer. Candidates must successfully complete pre‑employment screens, including a background check, drug and alcohol screening, and a position‑appropriate physical.

Estimated pay range is $41,515.16 to $57,083.16.
