Overview
Operate drones for surveying and data collection on aggregate construction sites.

Tasks
-Consistently wear required personal protective equipment in designated areas. -Report reliably to work at the designated start time. -Provide valid documentation for the I-9 Immigration form. -Conduct daily pre- and post-flight drone inspections and document findings in accordance with company policies. -Maintain thorough notes and records of all survey data and engineering measurements. -Coordinate daily tasks with multiple crews to ensure all surveying needs are met for each project or site. -Adhere strictly to all company policies, OSHA, and MSHA regulations to ensure a safe working environment. -Assist construction, paving, or plant crews with tasks such as shoveling, raking, and transporting materials when necessary. -Lift and move objects weighing up to 25-50 lbs as needed.Work primarily outdoors, often in extreme weather and environmental conditions. -Comply strictly with safety procedures and requirements as outlined in the Employee Handbook. -Safely lift, carry, and handle materials, tools, and equipment as required. -Regularly sit, climb, and use hand signals or equipment; occasionally stand, walk, crawl, kneel, bend, stoop, crouch, or reach above shoulder height. -Interpret engineering plans to establish lines, grades, and boundaries for construction and aggregate operations. -Calculate cross sections and quantities for cost analysis, planning, and payment purposes. -Set up, calibrate, and operate surveying instruments, including drones, to collect accurate field data.

What You Bring
-Optional: Experience developing models for GPS-controlled equipment using AutoCAD. -Comfortable working in all weather conditions; exposed to jobsite hazards such as moving machinery, high places, airborne particles, and loud environments. -Frequently required to climb, balance, and perform tasks involving physical agility. -Preferred: Experience using the Propellor platform for surveying. -Maintain a current driver’s license and a safe driving record that meets company and state standards. -Ability to work outdoors in a range of extreme weather conditions (hot and cold). -Minimum: High school diploma or GED required. -Must have specific vision abilities, including close, distance, color, peripheral, and depth perception, to operate equipment safely. -Must be at least 18 years old due to work environment requirements. -Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and overtime as needed. -Preferred: Prior field experience in construction or aggregates industry. -Desired: Training or experience with Topcon or Trimble surveying systems. -Preferred: Previous experience operating DJI platform drones. -Willingness and availability to travel to various job sites within the division. -Successfully pass a pre-employment drug screening, criminal background check, and “Fit for Work” physical.
