  • Follow safety procedures, ensure all work is being done in accordance with safety policies and procedures as well as code compliance
  • Maintains a clean and safe work environment on and off site
  • Inspect and maintain the truck and all related equipment, putting in repair requests as necessary to maintain safe operation.
  • Install or upgrade fire alarms in commercial and residential buildings.
  • Report results of work completed in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Ensuring a high level of customer service, satisfaction, and communication
  • Perform inspections to ensure alarms are installed according to code.
  • Adheres to the Code of Conduct, Confidentiality Agreement, and Company Safety Policy.
  • Maintain accurate records of all work performed, material used and communicate any problem encountered or identified with the alarm system
  • While performing the essential functions of this job the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, reach with hands or arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, and is occasionally required to lift and/or move heavy objects.
  • Protect and maintain company equipment.
  • Operate warehouse equipment, including vehicles, in a way that facilitates the loading and unloading of the truck while observing all safety regulations and manufacturer’s safety instructions for that equipment.
  • Complete detailed inspection reports, documenting any issues.
  • Test and repair alarm systems already in place
  • System testing and inspecting the prescribed standards

  • Demonstrate communication and teamwork skills with customers, co-workers and subcontractors to express ideas and technical concepts to problem solve
  • Must have a minimum of 2.5 years security alarm industry experience required
  • Have a clean driving record and a valid New Jersey Driver’s License
  • Ability to independently conduct tests, and determine whether equipment is operating as expected; troubleshooting skills; equipment maintenance; repairing; installation; time management
  • Customer service skills to deal with both internal and external customers
  • Must have a professional appearance. Be responsible, self-motivated, personable, and well-organized
  • Must be able to use various equipment and tools up to 40lbs. Job may require performing work in unusual and sometimes difficult locations such as ducts, crawl spaces, heights, etc.
  • Ability to read blueprints and / or drawings preferred
  • Must have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, and be able to work closely with the sales and operations departments
  • Ability to install, inspect, or service various types of systems such as Honeywell, Notifier, DMP, Hikvision systems a plus
  • New Jersey Alarm License preferred, but not required
  • High School Diploma / GED
  • The work also requires the following physical abilities in order to perform the essential job functions: balancing, climbing, grasping, hearing, mental acuity, pulling, pushing, repetitive motion, speaking, talking, and visual acuity.
  • Basic computer knowledge and experience using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
