Description
Responsible to maintain customer contacts to determine changes in customer forecasts of asphalt demand required, start dates, contract changes and remaining asphalt demand to cover work under contract. Manage customer account aging to be sure corporate payment terms are met and promptly resolve issues as they arise.
Responsible for managing own marketing budget, expenditure oversight, etc.
Responsible to maintain internal contact with plant operations personnel to assure promptness of order processing and deliveries.
Responsible to make periodic visits to established and prospective customers to promote relationships and sales volumes, resolve problems, provide application engineering services, disseminate new technology, ascertain competitive activity, identify potential customers and understand general local economics.
Assist in development of the Jebro Annual Marketing Program, its execution, and its follow-up evaluation (assembling historical data, future projections, and pricing based on market research, price trends, and general economic conditions in the marketplace).
Responsible to maintain internal contact with quality control personnel to analyze product failures, and supervise studies to determine cause effect and corrective measures to utilize out of specification materials.
Supervise and coordinate product development efforts to augment product lines with improved products and processes to better serve customer needs and market demands.
Through contact with educational institutions, professional organizations, trade shows, and government agencies, keep abreast of the latest developments germane to the asphalt industry and the implications for Jebro. Technical expertise will be acquired and maintained through study of available reports and literature, training courses, seminars and conferences.
Make presentations at industry seminars and for in-house training programs. Prepare special reports as directed.
Responsible to set product pricing for asphalt sales through interaction with Quality Control and Purchasing Departments. Prepare letting documents and contractor quotes. Recap letting and quotation feedback for Marketing Department and senior management.
