Senior Manager, Applications Technology

Description

The Senior Manager will be accountable for the strategy, development, implementation and maintenance of enterprise applications, with particular emphasis on the ERP solution and its interoperability with manufacturing execution systems. The role ensures application systems align with organizational goals, deliver optimal performance, and meet compliance and security standards, enabling accurate, timely and scalable production.

• Design, implement, and continuously improve SAMI’s enterprise application stack, starting with Odoo ERP, to enable scalable, automated, data‑driven manufacturing.
• Serve as the primary owner of all business‑critical systems (ERP, MES, WMS, CRM) from implementation through post‑go‑live optimization.
• Develop robust data integration workflows linking customer‑facing and factory systems.
• Lead manufacturing systems integration strategy, ensuring seamless data exchange across planning, production, inventory, and quality systems.
• Build and maintain APIs, ETL pipelines, and data‑architecture standards for real‑time and batch data movement.
• Collaborate with manufacturing, operations, and commercial teams to map data flows and align systems throughout the production lifecycle.
• Partner with IT leadership and external vendors on ERP enhancements, upgrades, and harmonization.
• Implement secure, scalable integration approaches using best‑practice authentication, data validation, and fault tolerance.
• Contribute to the digital manufacturing roadmap focusing on interoperability, automation, and data visibility.
• Support rollout of reporting dashboards and data products by ensuring reliable backend data architecture.
• Define and monitor KPIs for integration health, latency, error handling, and throughput.
• Lead or support change management for new data flows, working closely with business stakeholders to drive adoption.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering or a related field.
• 8+ years experience in IT, systems integration, or manufacturing systems.
• Deep knowledge of data pipelines, system interoperability, and middleware tools.
• Experience integrating ERP with manufacturing systems such as MES or IoT platforms.
• Hands‑on expertise with API management, data transformation, and system mapping (e.g., REST, GraphQL, ETL tools).
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Azure, Power BI, SQL Server and industrial data environments.
• Ability to work independently across cross‑functional teams with minimal oversight.
• Strong business acumen and skill to translate operational needs into system requirements.
• Familiarity with greenfield or high‑automation manufacturing environments (bonus).
• Exposure to lean manufacturing principles and value‑stream mapping (bonus).
• Experience implementing and post‑launch optimizing Odoo ERP (bonus).

Benefits
