Overview
Design and develop mechanical products, ensuring manufacturability and cost-effectiveness.

Tasks
-Design, develop, and enhance new and existing products/product lines. -Recommend and follow reliable, efficient, and cost-effective procedures. -Work closely with other engineers to align designs with production capabilities and compliance standards and ensure project milestones and timelines are met. -Perform feasibility, functional, and quality testing of designs. -Analyze market trends, customer requirements, and feedback to develop product concepts in 3D CAD. -Create technical drawings and designs that are manufacturable and provide installation drawings and supporting documentation for easy installation in the field. -Evaluate and recommend specifications and ensure products meet the technical and functional requirements.

What You Bring
-Strong understanding of materials, manufacturing processes, and production techniques, specifically in steel and sheet metal manufacturing environments. -Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent experience. -Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite. -Ability to accommodate periodic weekend or evening work when expected. -Ability to manage and execute on multiple tasks, deadlines, and priorities. -Proficiency in 3D CAD software, preferably AutoDesk Inventor. -Skilled communicator, both verbal and written, with the ability to protect confidential and sensitive employee information. -Strong organizational, critical thinking, communication, and people skills. -5+ years of related product design experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment. -Experience with PDM Software, preferably AutoDesk Vault.
