Recommend and follow reliable, efficient, and cost-effective procedures.
Work closely with other engineers to align designs with production capabilities and compliance standards and ensure project milestones and timelines are met.
Perform feasibility, functional, and quality testing of designs.
Analyze market trends, customer requirements, and feedback to develop product concepts in 3D CAD.
Create technical drawings and designs that are manufacturable and provide installation drawings and supporting documentation for easy installation in the field.
Evaluate and recommend specifications and ensure products meet the technical and functional requirements.

Strong understanding of materials, manufacturing processes, and production techniques, specifically in steel and sheet metal manufacturing environments.
Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent experience.

Ability to accommodate periodic weekend or evening work when expected.
Ability to manage and execute on multiple tasks, deadlines, and priorities.
Proficiency in 3D CAD software, preferably AutoDesk Inventor.
Skilled communicator, both verbal and written, with the ability to protect confidential and sensitive employee information.
Strong organizational, critical thinking, communication, and people skills.
5+ years of related product design experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
Experience with PDM Software, preferably AutoDesk Vault.
