  • Investigate and respond to EQ safe and ICAM incidents
  • Conduct yard inspections, site audits, critical risk observations, safety observation conversations and safety moments.
  • Maintain staff Training Matrix and manage training requirements for the team
  • Undertake Plant and Equipment risk assessments and maintain plant and equipment registers
  • Lead Investigation (ICAM)
  • Review, liaise with relevant parties and prepare and /or make improvements to safety documentation as required
  • Organise and facilitate weekly Crew meetings and monthly Toolbox meetings – prepare agendas, take minutes and follow up issues raised at these meetings
  • Collecting specimens for alcohol and drug testing
  • Review and provide comments on safety documentation associated with ETS Panel Contract inspections

  • Comprehensive understanding on the development and implementation of policies and practices that comply with the Occupational Safety and Health act and regulations and any other relevant statutory obligations
  • High levels of self-discipline, self-motivation, energy and initiative
  • Sound computer and software skills (Email, word processing, spreadsheets, document control)
  • Good level of written, verbal and numeracy skills
  • 8+ years OSH experience in the construction area preferably with road and bridge construction experience
  • Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety (or equivalent)
