Description

In this role you will operate an injection‑molding machine to produce epoxy parts, perform secondary tasks such as sandblasting, painting and deflashing, and maintain equipment cleanliness. The job requires continuous productive activity, eye‑hand coordination, manual dexterity, and the regular use of hand and power tools. You will work in a production environment, meet cycle‑time constraints, and collaborate with mentors and team members to ensure quality and safety.

• Operate injection molding machine to produce polymer components efficiently.
• Review job orders and blueprints to determine molding requirements.
• Set up molds, adjust machine parameters, and monitor cycles.
• Perform secondary operations such as deflashing, inspection, greasing and packaging.
• Inspect finished parts for defects and follow quality‑assurance procedures.
• Use hand tools (files, hammers, scrapers, air nozzles) to clean and maintain molds.
• Apply silicone mold release to prevent sticking.
• Conduct sandblasting and painting tasks as needed.
• Document job completion and promptly report issues.
• Meet production targets while adhering to safety and quality standards.
• Follow company policies, HSE procedures and maintain punctual attendance.
• Communicate respectfully with team members and attend required meetings.
• Collaborate with departmental mentors to improve work quality.
• Apply basic computer and math skills to process work orders and calculate quantities.

Requirements

• Possess at least one year of machine‑operation experience in a production setting.
• Demonstrate ability to read blueprints and use measuring instruments such as scales and calipers.
• Exhibit strong attention to detail, critical‑thinking and problem‑solving abilities.
• Maintain good interpersonal and organizational skills for cross‑department collaboration.

The Mold Machine Operator position works a regular shift of 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM, Monday‑Friday, with overtime as needed. The estimated hourly base pay is $22.30 and the role is eligible for S&C’s annual short‑term incentive bonus, subject to qualification.
