The Cleaner works under the supervision of the Custodial Manager or Supervisor, performing a variety of custodial duties for C&W Services in line with the company's established standards, instructions, and procedures.
Typical duties include sweeping, mopping, and washing floors; using light and heavy commercial floor buffers and shampoo machines; vacuuming rugs in offices and public areas; spot‑cleaning and shampooing rugs as directed; dusting furniture, exhibit cases, pictures, chairs, door trim, light fixtures, and other horizontal surfaces; washing interior windowsills, glass, and doors; cleaning interior walls, bathrooms, and restocking paper supplies; monitoring defects such as clogged urinals or lights and reporting them; collecting building trash, replacing liners, and disposing of waste; shoveling snow from entrances and walkways; and performing periodic high‑dusting, polishing, and wall washing tasks.
No prior cleaning experience is required, but candidates must be able to follow directions, work with minimal supervision, and cooperate as part of a team. The role requires the ability to operate cleaning tools and equipment, including backpack‑style portable vacuums, and demands attention to detail, pride in delivering excellent service, strong organization, high energy, and endurance.
Compensation ranges from $14.00 to $15.00 per hour, with pay varying based on location, experience, collective bargaining status, and other factors.
