Develop and implement operational strategies, policies, and procedures to support organizational objectives
Promote innovation by implementing best practices and identifying areas for automation and improvement
Identifying project and staffing requirements. Setting clear expectations of project team members to ensure successful project delivery
Manage operational teams across Western Canada including commissioning, construction, equipment, building fabrication and panel shop
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and vendors to ensure program success
Monitoring and maintaining labour and equipment utilization as well as reporting to senior management.
Identify fleet and equipment upgrade and replacement requirements and provide recommendations to Executive leadership
Collaborate with other departments, including Estimating, PMO, Project Services, Safety, Quality Assurance, Engineering and Fleet to ensure project goals are achieved
Monitor project performance metrics, providing insights and recommendations for improvement
Oversee the performance and management of the operational team, ensuring alignment with business goals and effective resource utilization
Conduct regular operational reviews and audits to assess efficiency and effectiveness
Foster a culture of safety and operational excellence through effective leadership and communications, ensuring adherence to industry regulations and best practices
Participate in project estimate reviews and supporting with estimating deliverables as required
Work closely with project managers to establish operational plans and budgets, ensuring compliance with financial guidelines
Participate in strategic planning and contribute to the long-term growth and sustainability of the organization
Lead efforts to identify and mitigate operational risks across projects

Ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with diverse stakeholders
Strong leadership, team management, and mentoring abilities
Minimum of 10 years of experience in operations management, ideally in the construction or renewable energy sector
Experience with project management methodologies and best practices
Proficiency in using operation management software and Microsoft Office Suite
Willingness to travel as required to oversee operations and meet with stakeholders
Proven track record of driving operational improvements and managing successful projects
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a strategic mindset
Bachelor's degree in business administration, Engineering, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree is considered a strong asset
