Follow all OSHA, company, and site-specific safety procedures, especially regarding working around roof edges and overhead loads.
Maintain cleanliness and security of the crane and work area.
Perform pre-operation inspections and maintain accurate equipment logs.
Assist with minor rigging duties as needed.
Set up crane and maintain safe operation throughout the project according to load charts and site conditions.
Operate a 40-ton crane to lift and position roofing materials onto commercial buildings.
Coordinate closely with roofing crews and riggers to ensure proper placement of loads.
May require travel between job sites.
Proven experience operating cranes in roofing, construction, or similar trade environments.
Requires lifting, climbing, and standing for extended periods.
Outdoor work with exposure to varying weather conditions.
Basic knowledge of commercial roofing systems.
NCCCOcrane certification for 40-ton capacity or higher.
Strong focus on safety and team coordination.
Ability to read and interpret load charts and lift plans.
Mechanical aptitude for basic crane maintenance.
We are hiring a skilled 40-ton Crane Operator to support commercial roofing projects. The ideal candidate will have experience lifting and placing roofing materials such as insulation, membrane rolls, gravel, and equipment onto various types of commercial rooftops. This position requires strong situational awareness, attention to detail, and a commitment to jobsite safety.
Familiarity with roofing materials and typical commercial roof layouts a plus.
Active commercial construction and roofing sites.
Valid Class A CDL
Willingness to work at heights and in various weather conditions.
Communicate clearly via hand signals or radio with ground crew.
