The role requires an active Oregon General Supervising Electrician License or a valid reciprocal license (Utah or Arkansas Master Electrician). Daily duties include managing self‑perform crews and any subcontractors, tracking field‑level costs and schedules, ensuring safety, troubleshooting issues quickly, and providing regular coaching to assistant superintendents and forepersons.
Key qualifications include at least five years of experience supervising self‑perform substation construction up to 345 kV, a progressive safety mindset, the ability to review bid packages for electrical scope accuracy, and the willingness to travel 100% with rotations and relocate to the jobsite. Candidates must also pass an MVR check, background check, physical, and drug test.
Preferred attributes are experience overseeing substation subcontractors, coordination with transmission operators and grid ISOs, proficiency in T‑Line, inter‑connect systems, switchgear installations, and high‑voltage collection/distribution systems, as well as holding additional electrical licenses and a four‑year degree in construction or engineering.
