The Principal Digital Deployment Manager – Dynamics 365 will lead a team of Deployment Consultants and coordinate with selected System Integrators to roll out the Dealer ERP Template across the Americas. Acting as a delivery orchestrator, the role aligns teams to program objectives, manages risks and dependencies, and drives consistent, high‑quality outcomes using scaled Agile practices.
- Manage day‑to‑day activities of Deployment Consultants and dealer deployment projects.
- Develop contingency plans and mitigate potential risks.
- Organize and coordinate cross‑functional teams around dealer digital programs.
- Represent the "Voice of the Dealer" in product and engineering discussions.
- Develop talent and skillsets in Dynamics 365 and deployment tools (Mavim, Leapworks, etc.).
- Serve as liaison between dealers, system integrators, and Caterpillar product teams.
- Facilitate transparent status meetings with dealer and Cat Digital leaders.
- Lead and mentor teams to foster a high‑performing Agile culture.
- Identify, escalate, and track risks, issues, and cross‑team dependencies.
- Manage Azure DevOps environment for efficient project tracking and delivery.
- Act as a deployment SME in steering committee and stakeholder meetings.
- Provide strategic leadership and set priorities for the deployment team.
- Achieve annual enterprise deployment targets and manage the team budget.

Success in this role requires deep ERP and systems knowledge, particularly with Microsoft Dynamics 365, as well as experience in configuration, security, integration, and lifecycle management. Strong decision‑making, strategic planning, and IT program management skills are essential for guiding complex dealer deployments and ensuring project control and reporting.
Preferred candidates have a proven track record of building teams and processes for ERP deployments, hands‑on experience with D365, Mavim, Leapworks or Walkme, and a solid background in Azure services, Power Platform, integration technologies, data analytics and DevOps. A relevant degree or certification, along with excellent interpersonal skills, rounded out by an interest in AI transformation, will further strengthen the application.
- Travel up to 25% of working time as required.
- Hands‑on experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 in product, process or deployment leadership.
- Understanding of ERP configuration, security, integrations, and Microsoft release cycles.
- Knowledge of system product lifecycle management and change management.
- Ability to implement ERP/CRM applications and train end‑users.
- Proficiency in decision‑making tools, tactical and strategic planning techniques.
- Experience in IT program management, project control, and reporting for dealer implementations.
- Demonstrated ability to build teams, processes, and frameworks for ERP deployments.
- Experience deploying Microsoft D365 using tools like Mavim, Leapworks, Walkme.
- Degree or certification equivalent to required educational standards.
- Design and implementation expertise in Dynamics 365 Customer Service.
- Strong understanding of customer service and support operations.
- Full lifecycle implementation experience of Dynamics 365.
- Systems architecture experience focused on Microsoft Dynamics 365.
- Azure PaaS/IaaS experience (Functions, Logic Apps, Service Bus, Event Grid, Data Factory).
- Power Platform proficiency (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, AI Builder).
- Integration expertise with Azure API Management, Logic Apps, Service Bus, Integration Services.
- Data & analytics knowledge (Azure Synapse, Power BI, data modeling).
- DevOps experience with Azure DevOps source control, pipelines, ALM practices.
- Security knowledge of Microsoft Entra ID, role‑based security, data protection.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to handle sensitive issues and influence stakeholders.
- Familiarity with Caterpillar business and dealership operations (preferred).
