Report any incidents, near misses, or equipment defects promptly in line with company procedures.
Liaise with Machine Operators, Site Supervisors, and Safety Critical staff to coordinate activities.
Monitor lifting operations to ensure adherence to safety protocols and intervene where necessary.
Maintain accurate records of lifting operations, including risk assessments and lift plans.
Conduct pre-use checks and verify equipment certification before operations commence.
Plan and oversee lifting activities, ensuring compliance with lift plans and safe systems of work.
Act as the appointed Crane Controller for RRV lifting operations in accordance with Network Rail standards.

Proven experience in RRV operations and crane control within a rail environment.
BTA (Basic Track Awareness) – advantageous for working in adjacent areas.
Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a safety-critical team.
PTS Competence (Personal Track Safety) – valid and in-date.
First Aid certification.
Lift Planning or Appointed Person training (preferred).
ICI (Industry Common Induction) – desirable for broader site access.
