  • Supporting sustainable forestry and responsible sourcing programs that align with our core values.
  • Stay informed on emerging sustainability trends, disclosure standards, and regulations.
  • Oversee ESG data collection, validation, and reporting to ensure compliance and transparency.
  • Supporting energy efficiency initiatives to reduce environmental impact and improve operational performance at our plants.
  • Collaborate with supply chain, forestry, and operations to identify and drive impactful projects.
  • Manage sustainability disclosure deliverables, including aligning financial reporting with the CSSB Sustainability Disclosure Framework.
  • Developing water management and conservation projects that go beyond compliance.
  • Support process improvements, communications, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Lead the development and execution of Stella-Jones’ sustainability strategy.
  • Building a company-wide sustainability roadmap that brings together diverse teams under a shared sustainability vision.

Note: Employment at Stella-Jones is contingent upon the successful completion of a pre-employment drug test and criminal background check.

This position will be based at our Tacoma, Washington office with a hybrid work schedule (in-office with some remote). You will collaborate with leaders from forestry, operations, supply chain, engineering, and corporate functions to integrate sustainability into everyday decision-making and long-term business planning.

  • Bilingual (English/French) considered a plus.
  • 3 or more years of experience in sustainability, ESG, environmental management and/or governance required; 5 or more years preferred.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills; able to influence across all levels.
  • Ability to purchase Company stock
  • Excellent knowledge of sustainability frameworks (CSSB, GRI, SASB, TCFD, GHG Protocol).
  • Background in forestry, supply chain, or energy efficiency engineering preferred.
  • Proven experience managing sustainability reporting and regulatory disclosure.
