  • Establish and monitor the calibration program.
  • Utilize the GCSS-MC input from the Motor Maintenance MMC sections to evaluate readiness posture, establish positive control over the publication program, and forecast equipment failure rates.
  • Train personnel on equipment operations and maintenance and ensure employees adhere to all safety requirements, procedures, and policies.
  • Oversee and direct MCPP Shipboard Maintenance activities within the assigned vessel to ensure the continuous maintenance and repair of vehicles and equipment, including exercising of equipment.
  • Advise the Shipboard Manager on the status of maintenance requirements, supply status, and related subjects, and report monthly.
  • Be charged with EKMS Assets along with all classes of supply ranging from Class I through Class IX as the Responsible Officer of the vessels.
  • Maintain the shipboard technical publications library, conduct daily (every working day) weapons armory checks.
  • Ensure operating refrigerated containers are checked every working day and report authorized overtime.
  • Follow all provisions of the Statement of Work (SOW) and ensure all requirements concerning SOW obligations are performed aboard the assigned vessel.
  • Perform administrative and management responsibilities to ensure an overall efficient operation.
  • Evaluate equipment performance and prepare reports, including recommendations as required.
  • Complete stock surveillance and corrective maintenance within capabilities.
  • Plan and coordinate the Semi-Annual Start-Up Program (SASU) in conjunction with exercises of MMC downloads.
  • Serve as Communications Security Material Systems (CMS) Local Holder (LH) Custodian.
  • Provide technical guidance / assistance and make decisions where guidelines are not available.
  • Supervise technicians and ensure compliance with administrative policies, procedures, government regulations, and interface with customer representatives.

  • Previous Marine Corps or other service equivalent experience in Military Occupational Specializations- 3002, 3010, 3043, 0402, 3510, 2110, 3529, 1349 or 2149; Army 91B3, 91X, 91Z, 120A, 915A, 915E and 919A.
  • Must hold or be able to obtain a U.S. Passport.
  • Must possess a valid Driver’s License.
  • Must pass a comprehensive physical examination (Military Sealift Command Standards) drug screening, and detailed background investigation.
  • Must have a High School Diploma or equivalent and at least 6 years of direct experience with supervisory / management experience in military related fleet management, maintenance, or supply chain management.
  • Requires knowledge of Hazardous Materials.
  • Must be able to pass a U.S. Government background investigation and obtain a Secret Clearance. Due to this, you must be a U.S. Citizen to be eligible for this position.
