Description

• Develop, implement, and track a business plan for the service line.
• Coordinate long‑term strategic pursuits.
• Communicate directly with clients to ensure satisfaction and retention.
• Determine staffing needs, recruit, and retain staff in the service line.
• Align service‑line plan with overall company goals in partnership with the executive team.
• Ensure projects meet deadlines, specifications, budgets, and client expectations.
• Conduct succession planning for all service‑line positions.
• Manage, mentor, and assist staff with individual development.
• Develop and manage the overall service‑line budget, overseeing project budgets, profitability, and overhead.
• Review and approve contracts and proposals.
• Identify capital purchases and software needs.
• Coordinate and approve staff training.
• Lead marketing and business development initiatives.
• Track and forecast service‑line backlog.
• Oversee and track all service‑line project schedules.

Requirements

We are hiring for our Green Bay, Madison, Milwaukee, and Eau Claire offices. The ideal candidate will have expertise in bridge, retaining wall, and box culvert design and will play a key role across JT’s municipal, transportation, and site development groups.

• Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering (accredited) with 10+ years of structural engineering experience.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license in Wisconsin or ability to obtain one.
• Experience managing structural engineering design projects.
• Knowledge of federal, state, and local regulations and permitting.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Solid organizational and time‑management abilities.
• Self‑disciplined, motivated, and effective team player.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for worksites, client meetings, and conferences.
• Legal authorization to work permanently in the United States without sponsorship.
• Willingness to travel out‑of‑town and overnight for professional development or project work.
