Reporting directly to the CFO, the Accounting Manager supports company‑wide accounting oversight through strategic reporting, data analysis, and process improvement. The role oversees day‑to‑day accounting tasks such as managing the general ledger, preparing financial reports, and assisting with month‑end and year‑end close, while ensuring compliance with GAAP and FAR guidelines. The ideal candidate is highly analytical, collaborative, and thrives in a fast‑paced environment using data to drive decision‑making.
The position requires a bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business and a minimum of 10 years of progressive accounting experience, including a strong interest in CFO‑level responsibilities and experience with construction cost accounting.
Success in this role depends on effective oral and written communication, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to translate complex accounting concepts into clear, actionable insights for non‑financial stakeholders. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required, and experience with Sage, Smartsheet, or an equivalent ERP system is preferred.
Candidates must be U.S. citizens able to obtain a security clearance, hold a valid driver’s license and insurance, and pass a thorough background check and drug‑and‑alcohol testing.
