The salary range for this position is based on several factors, including relevant experience, education, skills, and current market conditions.
The ideal candidate brings strong federal construction experience-including familiarity with USACE, NAVFAC, ANG, or similar contracting environments-and excels at navigating complex project requirements, managing multidisciplinary teams, and delivering high-quality work in secure and mission-critical environments.
- Knowledge of construction means, methods, scheduling, cost control, and testing procedures.
- Ability to walk, stand, climb, and otherwise navigate active construction areas safely.
- 10+ years of experience as a Project Manager in federal construction or similar role.
- Varying weather, including rain, snow, wind, heat, and cold.
- Familiarity with quality control, safety, and environmental requirements on federal projects.
- Visual acuity to read drawings, perform inspections, and review detailed documentation.
- Valid Driver License.
- Ability to climb stairs or ladders and conduct site walkthroughs in unfinished or outdoor areas.
- Valid First Aid/CPR certification.
- Experience with USACE/NAVFAC projects preferred.
- Knowledge of construction and safety standards and regulations including, but not limited to: CFR 1910, CFR 1926, OSHA, EM 385-1-1.
- Ability to develop and maintain positive relationships with government representatives, subcontractors, and stakeholders.
- Valid OSHA 30-hour safety certification.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required, Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Ability to use hands to operate computers, phones, and other office or field equipment.
- Strong knowledge and understanding of federal construction contract requirements, including FAR, DFARS, and USACE/NAVFAC processes.
- Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
- Personal protective equipment (PPE) and appropriate gear is required on all active job sites.
- Ability to lift, carry, or otherwise move materials/equipment up to 10 pounds regularly, and up to 50 pounds occasionally.
- Ability to obtain/maintain site or base access throughout the project.
- Ability to manage budgets, schedules, and subcontractor performance.
- Proficiency with project management software (Primavera/RMS/RS Means) and MS Office Suite.
