  • Investigative Excellence: Conduct thorough site investigations to identify physical and environmental risks. Perform field studies, including airborne chemical monitoring, noise monitoring, and indoor air quality assessments. The ideal candidate is self-motivated and able to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Strategic Development: Support regional growth throughout New England and support national clients. Develop comprehensive sampling strategies and outline required analyses. Research regulatory standards and hazard data to ensure compliance and safety. Assist leaders within the firm in developing templates and practice guidance to be used by all Terracon industrial hygiene practitioners.
  • Impactful Reporting: Evaluate sampling results, prepare detailed risk assessment reports, and develop actionable recommendations to improve environmental conditions. Present findings and recommendations to clients, showcasing your expertise and communication skills.
  • Mentorship and Training: Provide technical direction and training to less experienced professional staff, fostering their growth and development.
  • Leadership and Safety: Lead safety efforts for the team, ensuring adherence to safety rules and guidelines. Create and model a safe work environment, promoting pre-task planning for all projects. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are a fundamental part of this role.
  • Quality Assurance: Drive continuous quality monitoring and improvement on projects. Uphold and promote high-quality standards and practices in all project and proposal deliveries.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Science or related science field.
  • Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH).
  • Ability to become a Terracon Authorized Project Reviewer status required – a designation in Terracon that authorizes someone with the responsibility to commit resources and mitigate risk on projects on behalf of the company.
  • Minimum 8-11 years’ experience.
  • Certified Hazardous Materials Manager (CHMM)
  • Additional certification in field of expertise including but not limited to
  • Certified Safety Professional (CSP)
  • Valid driver’s license with acceptable violation history.
  • EPA Certified Lead-Based Paint Inspector and Risk Assessor.
  • Master’s degree or PhD preferred.
