Assess potentially hazardous and dangerous situations and take appropriate action to ensure the safety of personnel, other site operatives, and the general public.
Carry out fault work on networks as required.
Carry out network operations under instruction.
Lead testing and commissioning of HV/LV distribution systems.
Manage project budgets to assure efficiency and appropriate resource allocation.
Manage direct reports covering all managerial tasks including, but not limited to, performance reviews, authorising expenses, holidays and equipment requests, and upskilling.
Ensure personnel under your control fully understand and adhere to their job requirements.
Manage and supervise all site personnel.
Prepare switching programmes for approval by another SAP Engineer.
Responsible for the operational management of HV and LV installations.
Assist other SAPs in carrying out network switching operations.
Produce reports for work undertaken.
Issue and cancel safety documents.
Assist in the training and development of personnel wishing to become an LV AP or HV AP.
Undertake site-specific risk assessments and create RAMS.
Plan and co-ordinate projects.
Carry out audits and inspections of the workplace, tools, equipment, and company vehicles.

HNC (or equivalent) in a relevant field, or significant industry experience.
Strong understanding of project management, with experience contributing to project delivery.
Sanction for Test at DNO or ICP level.
Understand local network anomalies and ensure correct phase rotation.
Valid CSCS (or equivalent) card.
Full UK driving licence.
Experience working with a DNO or IDNO on networks up to 33kV or 132kV.
Emergency First Aid at Work certification.
Proven experience leading teams and supervising site activities.
