Ideal candidates have experience in cable system design engineering with FEED exposure, a solid understanding of on‑shore routing, pulling forces, burial risk assessments, and electromagnetic, thermal, and stability analyses. Familiarity with IEC, CIGRÉ, and National Grid TP standards, as well as proficiency in tools such as CYMCAP, WinCable, AutoCAD, Revit, GIS, and mechanical simulation software, is expected. A minimum HNC in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline is required, with Chartered Engineer status desirable.
