Project Executive

Description

• Lead and supervise multiple project lifecycles, ensuring safety, quality, performance, and financial targets are met within budget and schedule.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, contractors, and internal teams; act as primary contact for escalated issues.
• Guide project teams by setting clear goals, providing feedback, fostering professional growth, and ensuring required documentation and meetings are completed.
• Manage project finances including budgeting, forecasting, accounts payable/receivable, and change order processes while tracking metrics and KPIs.
• Implement risk management practices to identify, assess, mitigate, and communicate project risks.
• Ensure comprehensive project documentation from kickoff meetings to health reviews and track action items and deliverables.
• Negotiate with stakeholders, resolve project hurdles, and enforce contractual terms.
• Mentor and train project management staff, promoting learning aligned with NexGen’s vision and values.
• Apply deep knowledge of mechanical construction procedures to proactively address potential issues.
• Maintain high attention to detail and a strong commitment to safety, excellence and continuous improvement.

Requirements

The position involves frequent standing, walking, climbing and lifting up to 25 lb (occasionally up to 100 lb), and the employee may work in office, wet or humid conditions, high places, extreme temperatures, and noisy construction sites. Reasonable accommodations are available for individuals with disabilities, and overtime and travel are expected.

• Hold a bachelor’s degree in construction science, management, engineering or related field, or possess 6 years (or 11 years) of relevant construction experience.
• Demonstrate proven leadership in planning, designing and executing large, diverse, multi‑regional projects.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Project, Word, PowerPoint) and construction PM software such as Procore, Bluebeam, and CMIC.
• Exhibit exceptional communication, negotiation and stakeholder relationship skills.
• Willingness to travel extensively, up to 75 % of the time.
• Possess advanced analytical, strategic thinking, problem‑solving, resource‑planning and scheduling abilities.
• Physically capable of lifting 25‑100 lb, climbing, standing, walking and working in varied environmental conditions.
